“I am a professional musician and businessman who has lived in and around Oakham since he was 5 years old and my music agency DG Music has been in Rutland for nearly twenty years, currently I also have a shop on South Street in Oakham which is also a record shop and cafe, The Piano Cafe.
I went to Oakham School before studying music at The Royal Northern College of Music and Manchester University. I have also taught saxophone at Catmose College and was also a member of staff in the music department at Oakham School from 1999 to 2008 teaching many local children and running various music groups.
I have always played music professionally and, currently touring with 70s pop stars Showaddywaddy on saxophone, guitar and vocals.
I take a keen interest in being involved with the local community and events (Discover Rutland and Oakham Festival).
I am currently an Oakham Town Councillor and I have been a trustee of The Victoria Hall since January 2022 and was elected as Chair of Trustees in April 2022. ”

“Having moved to Oakham with my family in 1991 I am a relative new boy in town but still consider myself to be a proud Rutlander. I retired in 2012 and am pleased to be able to use my experience in accounting, IT and project management to assist with the ongoing development of the Victoria Hall.”

As an Independent Councillor I have served as a County Councillor for 20 years. I have also spent many years working as a volunteer at VAR.”

I was born and bred in Oakham and have lived in the town for almost all of my life. I ran businesses in the town for many years and was Chairman of Oakham Chamber of Trade.
I am a life-long member of the Guide Association and was instrumental in raising the money to build the Oakham Town Guide Headquarters.
I am a Trustee of Oakham Memorial Institute and an active member of All Saints Church.
I am delighted also to be appointed Trustee for The Victoria Hall – a place central to the community of Oakham and Rutland and I want it to remain a centre for the people of Oakham and Rutland to always enjoy.

Oakham born, my family have lived in Rutland for ever!
I joined Oakham Town Partnership in 2005 managing projects such as The Woodland Trust Community Woods at Brooke Hill and various community and Christmas events in the town. Coincidentally we were then based at Victoria Hall! I have also worked with Arts for Rutland and was Events Officer for Live@Museum. I have worked with Victoria Hall for over 8 years in public relations, marketing and social media. I’m very passionate about Victoria Hall being cared for and well used!
